We are currently seeking a Scientific Project Manager to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

Job Description:

• Management and tracking of major projects within the office’s primary portfolios
• Work with staff to prioritize work products and manage work loads
• Communicate with other teams to determine extent/timing of Policy involvement in cross-team efforts
• Develop, manage, and support content generation for Policy Office online resources (Intranet site, web pages, FAQs, etc.)
• Evaluate, develop, and support SOPs for streamlining office functions
• Act as liaison to other key program teams and governance bodies
• Completion and management of 2021 portfolio work plans
• Development and management of Policy led project plans, including Informed Consent Testing, Researcher Training, and Stigmatizing Research Intervention Testing
• Overhaul of Policy Office intranet site and related pages
• Development and/or maintenance of Policy, Privacy, and ELSI related web pages
• Review and revision of Policy FAQs


Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
• Professional science and/or policy writing experience preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Four (4) years of specialized experience plus a High School diploma is equivalent to a BA/BS degree.
• Comfortable working and communicating with a diverse group of personalities
• Able to meet a constantly changing work environment with flexibility and professionalism
• Familiarity with project management software
• Strong written communication and editorial skills
• Strong research skills a plus
• Familiarity with MS Office and GSuite
